Impossible to learn to play piano in a flash? Well, according to some expert pianists, it took them years to learn their lessons and play effectively. However, there is one way to improve your learning process in a flash.

You might be wondering how, right? Well, it is really simple. You have to take note of your posture. This is very important when playing the piano. Try to observe pianists; they have great postures and they seem to play with ease at all times. Without proper posture, you will not learn the basic playing techniques and even if you do, you can’t play the instrument comfortably.

Some say that it is easier to teach children when it comes to posture but even if you’re an adult, you can still improve your posture. If you can do this, you can play comfortably and with flexibility.

1. Try to imagine yourself sitting and you’re about to play the piano. See yourself as a giraffe; feeling as if your neck and head can reach the ceiling.

2. The next thing that you have to do is to stretch your arms. Try to imagine that the arms are the wings of an angel. Stretch your arms to the sides until your elbows are horizontally pointed.

3. Now, focus your attention to your hands. Look at your fingers. Move them just like the legs of a spider. Walk each of your fingers to the piano keys.

4. You have to sit on the bench with ease and confidence. Try to think that you’re the best pianist there is and that you know all your pieces well.

5. When sitting on the bench, your elbows should be located right in front of the stomach. Stretch your arms until your fingers touch the piano keys. Never scoot forward. Sit as if you’re glued to the bench.

6. Play hands separately for a while. Don’t immediately try a piece with both hands and expect less than chaos. Your brain requires repetition to get the idea of where your fingers go, and two hands at once is too much at first.

7. Play slowly. Most beginners assume that they are supposed to play the piece as fast as it traditionally goes. Play slowly, even painfully slowly.

8. Break the piece up into very small sections and resolve to conquer that one small area. It’s too daunting to look at a page full of notes and think, “I have to play all this?”

9. Repeat more than you think necessary, as much as you can stand. This is the hard part. You have to be persistent.

10. Balance repetition with variety: play a piece you like until you are a little tired of it, and then go on to some other piece. Come back to the first piece when you are refreshed and not tired of it.

Now go out and find a teacher, but a book about piano, just make an attempt to get started.

Did you notice anything on the five posture pointers mentioned? Which word is used many times? The word 'imagine’ is used most of the time. This is very effective especially if you’re still a child but it can also work for adults. Try using your imagination. This way, your body and mind will connect instantly and you can play naturally.

The next time you practice on your piano, try follow these pointers. Follow them one by one until you finally learn. These pointers are truly effective if you can follow properly. Even your piano teacher or instruction manuals will say the same thing.

Start by learning to have a good posture. This is one of the starting points to learn to play the piano in a flash. But all the other lessons should be taken one step at a time. You have to retain all the lessons. That is why you have to review your past lessons often to make sure that you still know them. You can’t simply forget past lessons because you will need them in the future lessons that you’re going to have.

The truth is, you can’t play piano in a flash. But with a little improvement in terms of your posture, you can go a long way. Take note of your posture now and check if you have a good one.

Codplay - Christmas Lights

CLICK HERE TO PRINT Christmas night, another fight Tears, we cried a flood Got all kinds of poison in Of poison in my blood I took my feet to Oxford Street Trying to right a wrong Just walk away, those windows say But I can't believe she's gone When you're still waiting for the snow to fall Doesn't really feel like Christmas at all Up above, candles on air flicker Oh, they flicker and they float And I'm up here holdin' on To all those chandeliers of hope Like some drunken Elvis singin' I go singin' out of tune Sayin' how I always loved you, darlin' And I always will Oh, when you're still waiting for the snow to fall It doesn't really feel like Christmas at all Still waiting for the snow to fall It doesn't really feel like Christmas at all Those Christmas lights light up the street Down where the sea and city meet May all your troubles soon be gone Oh, Christmas lights, keep shinin' on Those Christmas lights light up the street Maybe they'll bring her back to me And then all my troubles will be gone Oh, Christmas lights, keep shinin' on Oh, Christmas lights, light up the street Light up the fireworks in me May all your troubles soon be gone Those Christmas lights keep shinin' on

Adele - 21 look inside
Adele - 21 By Adele. Piano/Vocal/Guitar Artist Songbook. Softcover. 80 pages. Published by Hal Leonard (HL.307247)

21 is the second studio album by English singer-songwriter, Adele. Coincidentially, it was released on 21 January 2011 in the UK and most of Europe, and on 22 February 2011 in North America. Like its predecessor, the album was named after the age of the singer at the time of its production. While it shares the folk and Motown influences of her debut album 19, 21 was further shaped by the American country and southern blues music Adele encountered during her 2008–09 North American tour. Her second album on the subject of a break-up, 21, like its predecessor, was composed in the aftermath of the singer's separation from an unnamed partner, and explores various themes of anger and revenge, heartbreak, self-examination, and forgiveness.

The majority of the album's production was handled by Grammy Award-winning American producer Rick Rubin, while additional producers included Jim Abbiss, Paul Epworth, Fraser T. Smith, Ryan Tedder, and Dan Wilson. Attracting critical praise for its vintage authenticity, the lyrical depth of the songs, as well as Adele's vocal performance, the album was seen as an artistic improvement over her debut. Preceded by lead single "Rolling in the Deep", which became a worldwide number-one hit, 21 debuted atop the UK Albums Chart with first-week sales of 208,000 copies, and peaked at number one in over fifteen countries, including Canada, Australia, Germany and Ireland. In the U.S., the album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, selling 352,000 copies in its first week.
